Move More, Eat Less – Pediatric Weight

Tackling the problem of overweight American kids has captured the attention of parents and doctors. Nearly all efforts focus on having kids move more…and eat less.

Now, new research, puts pressure on the theory that heavy kids eat more. Results in a new study were a bit surprising. Overweight and obese children reported eating fewer calories than their normal weight peers.

Encourage kids to keep moving. Kids 6 and older should get 60 minutes or more of physical activity every day. Keeping it varied and mixing in lots of unstructured playtime makes it fun for kids!
