DIY Laundry Detergent

Up to your elbows in laundry?

Doing laundry probably isn’t your favorite thing to do, but you can save money with this inexpensive homemade laundry detergent. It’s simple. Only three ingredients. Pair with DIY Fabric Softener.

Rather than paying anywhere from a few bucks to 15 bucks a bottle, we’re making our own! Here’s what you will need. A bar of soap … I like Fels Naptha or Ivory … Borax, Arm and Hammer Washing Soda… you find this on the laundry aisle and … if you want a sweet smell … some essential oil. So here’s what you do. Here’s a look at the finished product stored in trusty mason jars. The cost per load is just 9 cents versus 29 cents. Pair this with homemade fabric softener and you have a one-two punch.
