Disciplining Teenagers

Raising teenagers can be a real challenge! Many American parents admit, there are times when they scream and yell at their teens. Now a new study suggests it may backfire, and actually aggravate problem behavior.

Kids subjected to harsh verbal discipline were found to be more prone to depression, more likely to act out at school, lie, steal and fight. The authors hope these findings help parents tone down the screaming… and instead opt for a more constructive discussion.
