Could binge eating be linked to an increased risk of depression and drug use? Does experimenting with drugs drive kids to obesity? While overeating with or without a loss of control wasn’t connected to binge drinking…both were strongly associated with when kids started using marijuana and other drugs. Based on the study findings that binge eating may be predictive of some serious teenage health issues, the researchers recommend that doctors screen adolescents for the disorder.
